The first Russian Song Festival was held in Moscow. Six songs entered the competition to get a ticket for ESC #4. The Winner was Yulia Savicheva with the song "Ne Boysya".

The final took place on February 16 where the six entries competed. The winner, "Ne Boysya" performed by Yulia Savicheva, was determined solely by televoting.
