Russia in the Europa Song Contest

Russia took part in the first edition of the Europa Song Contest which was hosted by the country in Sofia. The country was represented by Like.A with the song "HaHaHa". The entry was be selected via the broadcaster of the country, Russian Broadcaster. The song failed to qualify and got the 13th place in the second semi-final with 42 points.

It was announced that the entrant would be revealed, together with her song, on 2 May 2017.

Internal Selection[]

On May 2 2017, the Russian entrant was selected. It was chosen that Like.A would represent Russia with the single "HaHaHa".

At ESC[]

Both the semi-finals and the final were broadcast by Russian Broadcaster. The Russian HoD was the final and semi-finals television commentators respectively. Egor Kreed was the spokesperson that announced the Russian voting in the final.
