Seven songs have won the Europa Song Contest, a competition organized by members of the European Broadcasting Union. The contest has been held once in about five months since its debut in January 2017. The contest's winner has been determined using a basic voting method; awarding points to countries by juries and/or televoters. The country awarded the most points is declared the winner.
There have been eight contests, with Iceland being the only country to win the event two times while. The other five countries have won once. Germany won the first contest, held in Bulgaria. Apart from Germany is the only country to win at its debut.
The winners of the contest have mostly been female solo performers apart from the winners of the fourth, five and sexth editions.
Oonagh's "Aulë und Yavanna" became the first winning song to be entirely in a language other than English, followed by Eleni Foureira's "Mono Gia Sena which was sung in Greek, The Hardkiss's "Antarctica" which was sung in Ukrainian and Maya Berović's "Nisam Normalna" which was sung in Bosnian.
